Ruth E. Williams, 80, of Dresden, died Friday morning February 22, 2008 with her husband by her side and surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Williams was born January 22, 1928 in Zaleski, Jackson County, Ohio, the youngest daughter of 14 children born to the late Samuel and Victoria (Mills) Romans. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dresden and was devoted to her family and her home in Dresden. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George G. Williams; children, Robin (Stanley) Tackett of Dresden, Adina (Rick) Roberts of Dresden, Daniel Richards of Zanesville; grandchildren, Timothy Tackett, Matthew Tackett, James Tackett, Jason Roberts, Joey Roberts Jake Richards, Elizabeth Roberts, Mackenzie Richards, Madison Richards; 8 great grandchildren and two sisters, Ida Blankenship of Moundsville, WV and Lucille Tipton of Jackson, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bethany Williams. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday Feb. 26th, 2008 and, 2-4 & 6-8PM Wednesday Feb. 27th at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden. A funeral service will be held on Thursday Feb. 28th, 2008 at 1PM with Pastor Andrew Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
