DRESDEN - Ruth B. Schumacher, 88, of 639 Cass Street, Dresden, Ohio died at 7:40am Friday, August 1, 2003 at her home. Born May 22, 1915 in Sherrard, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Ina R. (Bond) Smith. Following high school she graduated from Ellsworth Beauty School of Cleveland and operated Schumacher?s Beauty Shop in Dresden for many years. Later she worked at Popeye?s Restaurant in Dresden and retired again in 1985. Mrs. Schumacher was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. Surviving is her husband, Paul S. Schumacher; two daughters, Aloma M. (Dale) Graves of Dresden and Sherry R. Lane of Manalspan, New Jersey; two sisters, May Rowe of Dresden and Ann Muriel Miller of Tucson, Arizona; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services will be at 11:00am Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Dresden Cemetery with Pastor Arthur Potts officiating.
