Ruth Florence Greene, 97, of Dresden, died Friday evening, November 12, 2021 at Altercare Zanesville.

Born September 29, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Edward and Mae (Weiss) Karl,  Ruth graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University in 1974 and worked for Coshocton County Children Services and was a teacher at Head Start.  She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church.

Surviving her are a son, Michael Greene of Dresden and a granddaughter, Ericka (Nihar Shah) Greene of Columbus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo L. Greene who she married on August 15, 1946 and who died May 21, 1990; and a daughter, Kathleen Greene.

No services will be held at this time.  The family is being assisted by the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute, 714 Main Street.
