Ruth E. Beers, 88, of Dresden, died at 8:18PM Tuesday July 4, 2006 at Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. She was born Ruth Eleanor Frame on February 21, 1918 in Zanesville to the late Harley and Verna (Helrigle) Frame and grew up on Frame Road in Stringtown. Ruth graduated from Lash High School (Zanesville) in 1937. She married J. Leland Beers Easter Sunday, March 24, 1940 in West Lafayette. Ruth was a long time resident of Dresden, where she and Leland raised their two sons. She loved African violets and quilt making and was one of the original members of the Old Wheels Club of Zanesville She will always be remembered for her caring nature and pie baking. Above all, she was a wonderful wife and mother and will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leland, two sons, Donald J. (Betty) Beers of Nashport, Robert L. (Lois) Beers of Ft. Collins, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Evelyn Frame. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday July 7, 2006 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11AM Saturday with Pastor Ricci Arthur officiating.
