Obituary
Ruth Helen Anderson, 101, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, January 17, 2012 at the Muskingum County Home in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born May 29, 1910 in Frazeysburg she was the daughter of the late William S. and Clara (Hostetler) Lentz and was a 1927 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. She was also a graduate of Meredith Business College of Zanesville and for many years she was a telephone operator for Quantum Phone Company, which was later United Telephone Company. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church and the Quest Circle of the church. She was also a member of the "Monday Afternoon" Card Club, The Review Club and the Twentieth Century Club, all of Frazeysburg and the Mt. Pleasant Women's Organization. She enjoyed music and playing the piano and also working crossword puzzles.
Surviving is a daughter, Connie Roll of Lorain, Ohio; a son, Fred (Carla) Bennett of Frazeysburg; four grandchildren, Jill (Dave) Leckrone of Troy, Ohio, Erin (Chris) Couch of Apple Valley, Ohio, Joshua (Maggie) Bennett of Frazeysburg and David (Melissa) Roll of Leipsic, Ohio; six great grandchildren, Bennett Leckrone, Kyra Leckrone, Alexandra Couch, Taylor Jane Couch, Olivia Bennett and Klayton Joshua Bennett; two step great grandchildren, Chelcee Spring and Makenna Spring and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joshua Frazier Bennett whom she married October 15, 1940 and who died November 17, 1948; her second husband, Lawrence Arthur Anderson whom she married January 28, 1956 and who died May 30, 1980; two brothers and sisters in-law, Francis and Esther Lentz and Charles and Pearl Lentz and a niece, Jo Ellen Dean.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. James Story officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
