A life celebration service for Pastor Russell R. Hylton Jr., 71 of Newark, Ohio will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Trinity Worship Center, 1051 Beech Street, Mt Vernon, Ohio with Pastor Dave Gross Officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services from 10-11a.m.

Pastor Russ entered the presence of the Lord on April 7, 2025. He was born in Baltimore, MD on November 22,1953 to the late Russell R. Hylton, his beloved mother, Lorriane (CW) Harris.  He will be reuniting in Heaven with his loving wife of 43 years, Marilyn F. (Parmenter) Hylton.

He served as Pastor at Trinity Assembly of God for 18 years before the Lord led him to Newark, Ohio to start Crossroads Worship Center.  There he shared his love for the word of God, teaching, counselling and missionary work both locally and internationally. His greatest joy was leading the lost souls to Christ, then watching them grow in the Word.

Those who knew him, knew his gentle heart, tender spirit and love for worship music (along with Pepsi and seafood!).

Pastor Russ is survived by his children Courtney (Nick) Roelle and Garrett (Madigan) Hylton, his grandchildren Mikayla, Kahlan, Isabelle, Finley and Peyton.
