Rudy L. Hunter, 76, of Frazeysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2016 surrounded by his wife and children.
Born November 25, 1939 in Frazeysburg he was a son of the late Nova E. "Bud" and Mary L. (Stoneking) Hunter. Rudy was a 1957 graduate of Frazeysburg High School and he attended Meredith School of Business. He retired in 1997 from Rockwell International where he was a machine operator with 32 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Frazeysburg Jaycees and he loved "old cars", especially his 1962 Willy's Jeep. Most of all, he loved and enjoyed his family.
Surviving is his loving wife of 56 years, Elizabeth A. (Waggoner) Hunter whom his married May 2, 1959 in Liberty, Indiana; two sons, Brent Hunter of Dresden and Aaron (Cappie) Hunter of Frazeysburg; five daughters, Shari (Wylie) Morgan of Nashport, Ohio, Stephanie Tellez, Alicia Copeland and Natalie (Travis) Smith, all of Frazeysburg and Mindy (Dale) Ridenbaugh of Newark, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Rick (Mary) Hunter of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews.
The family has honored Rudy's wishes to be cremated.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. There will be no funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Heart Association.
