FRAZEYSBURG ? Graveside funeral services for Roy E. Walcott, 54, of Newark, Ohio will be at 1:00pm Friday, August 25, 2006 in Frazeysburg Cemetery with Minister Sam Dunn officiating. Mr. Walcott died at 8:40pm Monday, August 21, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born January 27, 1952 in Newark, he was the son of the late Paul Walcott and June Rose (Price) Walcott of Newark and was a 1971 graduate of Licking Valley High School. Mr. Walcott was a former member of Newark Eagles and he was an Army veteran, serving during the Viet Nam era. He was employed in the maintenance department at the Heath Nursing and Convalescent Center. Surviving is his wife, Beverly J. (Hindel) Walcott, whom he married September 23, 1971; three sons, Roy E. (Julie) Walcott, II, and Roderick E. (Jessica Birkhimer), both of Frazeysburg, Ohio and Ryan E. (Kristin) Walcott of Zanesville; three daughters, Rosalyn E. (Paul Absten) Hunter of Frazeysburg, Roberta E. (Michael) Moore of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Roxanne E. (Michael) Wilson of Zanesville; twelve grandchildren, Baylee, Caden, Madison and McKayla Walcott, Lexis Walcott, Tad, Anthony and Ashley Hunter, Allanis Absten, Taylor and Taci Myers and Sheldin Wilson; four sisters, Paula (John) Gostrue, Darlene Osborne and Robin Walcott, all of Newark and Connie (Juan) Olivares of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Cora ?Susie? Walcott and Diane Walcott and a grandson, Quinten Moore. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg.
