FRAZEYSBURG ? Roy Edgar McKee, 95, of Frazeysburg died Friday morning, December 18 at his home. Born February 27, 1914 in Pike Township of Coshocton County, he was the son of the late M. Clyde and Nora Oxley McKee. Because of Roy?s love of education, he had the unique experience of graduating from both West Carlisle High School in 1929 and Frazeysburg High School in 1930. Mr. McKee was a life-long farmer, still actively working his family farm and he enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and gardening. For many years he was a seed and spray salesman. A member of the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church, he was a former Deacon, an Elder and Clerk of Session. Roy was also a member of the Coshocton County Genealogical Society and was the clerk of Pike Township for many years. Survivors include a son and daughter in-law, George and Nancy McKee of Cincinnati and their children Beth (Eric) Schneider of Cincinnati and Chris (Jamie) McKee of Marysville; a daughter and son in-law, Jean and Bert Kinsey of Frazeysburg and their children Vance (Kip) Kinsey of Chesapeake, Virginia, Vernon (Jennifer) Kinsey of Seminole, Florida, Von (Carol) Kinsey of Frazeysburg and Valerie Kinsey of Frazeysburg; and a daughter and son in-law, Eleanor and Neil S. Fujita of Waverly, Ohio. Also surviving are Roy?s nine great grandchildren, Claudia Schneider, Dakota McKee, Jennifer Minson, Ryan Kinsey, Seth Kinsey, McKayla Kinsey, Jameson Kinsey, Autumn Kinsey and Breanna Kinsey; a great great grandson, Landon Minson; two sisters in-law, Helen McKee of Gambier, Ohio and Alice Gross of Coshocton; a brother in-law and sister in-law, James and Kathleen Ramsey of Frankfort, Kentucky and two cousins, Marsena Sager and Kathryn Drake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lois L. (Ramsey) McKee, whom he married June 16, 1939 and who died August 15, 2005; three brothers Chester McKee, Charles McKee and Bryce McKee; a sister, Grace McKee; two sisters in-law, Audrey McKee and Maxine McKee; and a brother in-law, Roy Gross. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the funeral home with Dr. James A. Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church.
