Roy Cozzens, Jr., 94, of Newark, Ohio died Monday morning, February 28, 2022 at Flint Ridge Care Center in Newark.

Born May 2, 1927 in Lowell, Ohio he was a son of the late Roy and Alice (McKitrich) Cozzens, Sr.  Mr. Cozzens proudly served our country in U. S. Air Corp and was a member of the Military Police.  He was employed with Tectum, Inc. of Newark and retired with 35 years of service.  Roy attended the Church of Christ and he enjoyed working on lawn mowers.

Surviving is his wife of 74 years, Betty I. (Reed) Cozzens whom he married July 15, 1947; a son, James (Lana) Cozzens of Lowell, Ohio; a daughter, Judy (Steve) Wicks of Pataskala, Ohio; a daughter in-law, Darla Cozzens of Newark and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Roger L. Cozzens and Ronald E. Cozzens and a brother, Richard S. Cozzens.

There will be no public calling hours or funeral services.

Mr. Cozzens will be laid to rest in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
