Roy E. Byrum, 61 of Summit Station passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born April 24, 1948 in Welch, WV to the late Cullie E. and Helen (White) Byrum. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary (McCane) Byrum, whom he married July 17, 1972; a daughter Lena (Kyle) Byrum-Cartwright of Groveport; a son, Tim Byrum of Summit Station; sisters, Donna (Mack) McCoy of Pataskala, Lucy (James) Pack of Columbus; brothers, Ralph (Sharon) Byrum of Grove City, Ronnie (Barbara) Byrum of Grove City, and Charles Byrum of Virginia; a granddaughter, Morgan Noble; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Byrum was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Friends may visit 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg, OH 43822. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
