Funeral services for Ross E. Schworm, 55, of Newark will be held on Saturday April 10, 2004 at 10:30 AM in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Paul M. Snoddy officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Schworm died Wednesday morning at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. He was born July 26, 1948 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Clarke Schworm and Irene (Finley) Schworm Priest. Mr. Schworm was a 1966 graduate of Newark High School. He has been an employee of Holophane for 19 years. He was an amateur radio operator (KC8 BLX). He was a member of the Tri-Village Church of Christ and the Newark Table Tennis Club. He loved computers, gardening, motorcycling and basketball. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dawn R. (Saunders) Schworm, whom he married August 9, 1981; one daughter, Crystal (Shawn) Stidham of Newark; one son, Eric Schworm of the home; one sister, Zona (Arthur Thomas) Mauller of Newark; and one brother, Gary (Linda) Schworm of Granville. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 1984-A Coffman Rd., Newark.
