Ronald R. Mercer, 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday morning, August 5, 2021 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Department, Zanesville, Ohio.

Born October 1, 1935 in Zanesville, he was a son of the late Harold and Marian (Fisher) Mercer.  Ronald was retired from Rockwell International of Heath, Ohio.  He enjoyed tinkering around his garage, riding his 4-wheeler around the farm and playing cards on his computer.  His greatest enjoyment was his family and his animals.  Ron's favorite saying was "It's a great life if you don't weaken".

Surviving is his wife, Donna A. (Wolford) Mercer; two sons, Bob Mercer of Frazeysburg and Ron Mercer of Nashport, Ohio; two daughters, Debbie (Gene) Howell of Coshocton, Ohio and Jackie (Curt) Stone of Nashport; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.  Also surviving is one sister, Betsy Russi of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Rick, Ed and Dale Mercer; two daughters, Cindy Mercer and Carol Shepherd; one grandson, six brothers and one sister.

There will be no public calling hours or funeral services.
