Ronald Charles Hess, 75, of Zanesville, Ohio died Saturday night, March 22, 2025 at Genesis Hospital.

Born September 23, 1949 in Bellaire, Ohio, he was a son of the late Henry I. and Beverly A. (Makofsky) Hess and a 1968 graduate of Bellaire High School.  Ronald was a long-time Steelers fan and enjoyed golfing, going to car shows and watching movies.  He was a self-taught computer whiz and would buy old laptops and rebuild them.  Ronald loved his family and was especially proud of his many grandkids.

He is survived by four sons, Chris "C.B." (Becky) Hess of Neffs, Ohio, Ronald "Mike" Hess of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Brad (Lashley) Hess of Frazeysburg, Ohio and Eric (Erica) Hess of Zanesville, Ohio; two daughters, Rhonda Ewt and Jennifer (Keith) Lash, both of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Marvin (Christina) Hess and Alan (Connie) Hess; sister, Karen (Mark) Coen; fifteen grandchildren, Kandelynn, Crystal, Hallie, Kenzlee, Ghaige, Cami, Legend, Jadelyn, Jayla, Jude, Cody, Neo, Austin, Gavin, and Ashley; several great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, 3 month old David Hess and Larry Hess. Also preceding him in death is a sister in-law, Sandy Hess.

In keeping with Ronald's wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
