Ronald E. Miller, 68 of Granville passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 after a prolonged illness whereby he lived with his family. He was born October 14, 1953 in Bellefontaine, OH to Walter C. and Evelyn (Held) Miller.
Ron dedicated most of his life as a dairy farmer at the family owned Cherry Hill Fruit Farm. He was also employed as a plumber by several local firms. He was a 1972 graduate of Licking Valley High School. He was involved with the Licking County Raiders 4H Club both as a child and as a parent. He served as a soccer coach, too. He raised standardbred horses and was gifted with horses. He had the ability to fix and construct items for use on the farm and to help others. He was an avid outdoorsman & enjoyed activities including; hunting, hiking, camping, boating, water skiing on Lake Cumberland, snow skiing out west. He appreciated good food, in particular Bummies ribs on Thurs and Roadhouse prime rib Fridays. Johnny Cash was his favorite musician and "Further On Up The Road" his favorite song. He had high morals and wonderful work ethics. He instilled many characteristics to his family of right and wrong. He would remind them that experiences were important, not materials. He would say "family is not ONLY the most important thing, family is the ONLY thing that matters".
He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen "Katie" (Steven) Stone of Granville; daughter-in-law, Jessica Lage of Gulf Breeze, FL; grandchildren, Skyler "Miles" Miller, Carson Miller, Rose Miller all of Florida, Steven "Alex" Stone, Geraldine "GiGi" Stone, Evelyn Stone all of Granville; sisters, Melanie Mellars, Judith Miller both of Florida; Lois (Patrick) Lebold of Newark; brother, Ross (Deborah) Miller of Newark; sister-in-law, Kathy Miller of Port Huron, MI; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Marcus Allen Miller; and brother, Roger Miller.
A private family service will be held to honor his wishes.
The family suggests planting a tree, bush, or flowers in Ron's honor to create a lasting memorial.
