Ronald L. Dillon, 80, of Newark, Ohio died Saturday morning, February 13, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.
Born November 4, 1940 in Frazeysburg, Ohio he was a son of the late John and Ollie (Cline) Dillon and was a 1960 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. He was a retired transport driver having worked for several companies over the years. He enjoyed working, playing softball, cars, especially Mopar, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Ronald was a member of Utica Church of Christ in Utica, Ohio.
Surviving is one son, Rodney (Janet) Dillon of Newark; two daughters, Valerie Dillon and Kimberly Dillon, both of Black Lick, Ohio and one granddaughter, Gina (Steven) Elliott of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are three brothers, Gary Dillon of Granville, Ohio, Larry (Linda) Dillon of Pataskala, Ohio and John (Paula) Dillon of Nashport, Ohio; two sisters, Hazel (Harrison) Underwood of Bluffton, Ohio and Sue Gardner of Arkansas and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Dillon and five sisters, Marilyn Underwood, Helen Miller, Edith Miller, Agnes Waisner and Alice Dillon.
Calling hours will be 11am to 1pm Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the funeral home with Minister Doug Swan officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
