Ronald Lynn Campbell, age 79, died July 16, 2023 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Born February 20, 1944, to Frances and Lynn Campbell. Graduate of Lakewood High School (1962). Married to Carole Ann Campbell for more than 50 years. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Campbell and sister, Barbara Ryan and special family friends, Geneva and Paul Zahora. Father of two sons, Brian (Amy) and Brad (Kate) Campbell; grandfather of five, Brennan, Ben, Emmy, Kaley and Robbie Campbell. Also survived by sister, Bonnie Firestone and sister-in-law, Marilyn Campbell. Ron worked in the family business, Newark Processing Company and also worked many years for Newark City Schools as transportation supervisor. Ron grew up in Harbor Hills and lived in Newark. He had a special love for Buckeye Lake and the surrounding community. On his behalf, the family extends special thanks for the expert and compassionate medical care and comfort provided by National Church Residences Hospice at First Community Village.  There will be a private interment. Arrangements entrusted to Vensil and Chute, 1850 W. Main St. Newark, OH 43055. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or National Church Residences-Hospice.
