Funeral services for Ron Heskett, 56 of Newark will be held Friday August 19, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Gus Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.Mr. Heskett died Tuesday August 16, 2005 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1948 in Provident, Ohio to the late Melvin C. and Ethel Lorena (Williams) Heskett.Mr. Heskett was employed in sales nine years at Church Street Flooring Coverings for Wayne & Diane Burwell also Charlie Burwell a special friend and co-worker. He was a member of the Licking Valley Church of Christ, he was a 1968 graduate of Utica High School. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.He is survived by his wife of 18 years Judy L. (Hoy) Heskett; step-daughters, Mariah (Jim) Bretz of Lancaster, Julie (Eddie) Huffman of Newark; step-sons, Tony (Missy) Hedges of Lancaster, Terry L. (Sherry) Athey, II and Tracy Athey of Newark which the two shared a special relationship; his namesake, a nephew Ron Heskett of Barnesville; three grandchildren, Tylor Brock, Mira Layne Hedges and Terry L. Athey, III; sister, Gina (Ed) Fielding of Shadyside; brothers, Roger (Angie) Heskett of Barnesville, Richard (Jennifer) Heskett of Alexandria; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and two special loving companions Summer & Autumn, who loved and cherished him unconditionally.Calling hours will be observed Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio 2269 Cherry Valley Road Newark, Oho 43055-9925
