A funeral service for Robert L. Price, 75 of Newark will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Johnstown.

Mr. Price died Monday September 19, 2011 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born April 22, 1936 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late John and Ela (Cotttrell) Price.

He was a lifetime member of the Concord Liberty Baptist Church. He retired from Tech International with 46 years of service. He enjoyed being outdoors. He spent many happy hours fly fishing, camping and boating. He loved to listen to bluegrass and gospel music. He was very involved in his grandchildren's activities attending many of their sporting events.

He is survived by his daughters, Marsha (Richard) Miller of Heath, Karen (Duane) Larason of Alexandria, Brenda Price of Granville; grandchildren, Nicole Miller and Trey Smith, Amber Miller, Doug (Andrea) Larason, Tom (Amber) Larason; great-grandchildren, Kamdyn, Kiersten, Landon, Addison; sisters, Roberta Johnson of Johnstown, Betty King of Johnstown, Joyce (Bob) McNamee of Howard, OH; brother, Buell Price of Johnstown, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Freda (Gasrdner) Price, who died March 25, 2009; brother, James Price; great-granddaughter, Brianna Larason.

Calling hours will be observed Friday, September 23, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
