Robert M. "Bob" McDonald, 63, of Newark, Ohio died peacefully Monday morning, November 29, 2021 at his home with his family at his side.

Born January 13, 1958 in Newark he was a son of the late Richard and Florence (Lanham) McDonald.  Bob proudly served our country in the United States Army and he was a mechanic at Mathews Ford of Heath.  He was a faithful Christian and was a member of the World Global Ministries.  Bob was an ordained minister and evangelist and he began the Lamb of Zion Church in Newark.  He loved working and helping others in need.

Surviving in his loving wife, Deborah A. (Horton) McDonald whom he married June 24, 2000; three sons, Robert "Dusty" McDonald, Aron Norman McDonald and John "Devin" McDonald, all of Newark; two daughters, Bobbi Jo McDonald and Stephanie Renee McDonald, both of Newark and one granddaughter, Annalise Marie McDonald.  Also surviving are six brothers, Richard "Dick" (Sue) McDonald of Newark, Clarence McDonald of Frazeysburg, Edward (Debbie) McDonald of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Roger (Louise) McDonald of Frazeysburg, Mike (Mary) McDonald of Frazeysburg and Tim (Diane) McDonald of Newark; two sisters, Sandy Klusty of Lancaster, Ohio and Joyce (Fred) Bayles of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Shephard.

There will be no public calling hours.  A private funeral service will be conducted at the Frazeysburg chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastors Gene Waters and Mike Swartz officiating.  Bob will be laid to rest in Hanover Cemetery with the Licking County Veterans Alliance conducting military honors.
