A funeral service for Robert H. Furbee, 93 of Heath will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street with Gus Andrews and Jeff Hawkins officiating.  Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

Mr. Furbee died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He  was born June 10, 1928 in Granville to Claude and Lela (Woolard) Furbee.

He was a graduate of Kirkersville High School. He served in the 4 ^th Infantry in Germany with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired with over 20 years of service from Owens-Corning in the Security Division. He was active at the Licking Valley Church of Christ as a greeter and elder emeritus.

He is survived by step-son, Russell Ebright of Heath; brother, Dale Furbee of Bowling Green; great-grandchildren, Blake (Katie) Dupler of Cincinnati, Nathan (Amber) Dupler of Lancaster; great-great grandchild, Fitz Dupler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris M. (Eckels) Ebright-Furbee; step-daughter, Rita Mathews; brother, Neil Furbee; granddaughter, Alicia Dupler.

Visitation will be observed Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
