Funeral services for Robert ?Bob? Denzil Morrison, 88 of Newark will be held Friday June 10, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.Mr. Morrison died Tuesday June 7, 2005 at his residence. He was born March 8, 1917 in Hopewell Twp. to the late Charles Ray and Lilly May (McInturf) Morrison.Mr. Morrison retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He had also been employed at Owens Corning Fiberglas and Licking Gate Company. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Union Church, Madison Grange, Hanover Chapter # 220 OES, New Home Lodge F&AM, Licking County Shrine Club and Senior Shriners of Columbus.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gladys Eileen (Roley) Morrison, whom he married February 21, 1943; nephews, Larry (Kathy) Morrison, Charles Ray (Mary) Morrison both of Newark,; step-sister-in-law, Helen Kreager of Newark; step-nieces, Patricia (Ralph) Wills of Newark, Judy Painter of Hebron;several great nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Morrison; step ?brothers, Russell Franklin Kreager, Roy Kreager; step-sister, Hazel Hoy and nephew, Jerry Lee Morrison.Calling hours will be observed Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
