A funeral service for Robert Lewis Bare, 59 of Newark, will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday October 12, 2005 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Bruah, officiating. Mr. Bare died Saturday morning at Arlington Nursing Home after an extended illness. He had fought the good fight. He was born May 24, 1946 in McArthur, Ohio to the late James L. and Stella (Bentley) Bare. Bob was an avid animal lover, Buckeye supporter, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Carolyn (Collins) Bare, whom he married July 12, 1969; two sons, Randy (Carmen) Bare of Columbus, Earl ?Tom? Bare of Newark; two adored grandchildren, Travis and Troy Bare; brothers, Jim (Reggie) Bare, Steve Bare, Mike (Diane) Bare, Jerry Bare; sisters, Carol (James) Newsome, Joyce (John) Stepp, Donna (Rusty) Ames, Leisa (Ken) Chambers; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Terry. Friends may call from 4:00PM until the time of the service at 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
