Robert Andrew "Andy" Marshall, 44, of Dresden, died Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Born April 17, 1978 in Sarasota, Fl, son of Mike and Carol (Hagerty) Marshall.   He had a gentle & kind soul.  He loved history and could retrieve from memory lots of useful and useless information.  He grew up as an Air Force Brat, loved traveling, lived all over the country and graduated from high school in Germany, Fluent in German.  He was a friend to many.  The things Andy loved the most in this world were his family, the guys he worked with who treated him as a friend and brother, his family farm, model airplanes, antiques, old rusty cars and trucks and cool old stuff.

He struggled throughout his adult life, but fought to regain his life back.  His attitude was amazing and different this time from the start.  We watched as he found his self-worth and self-esteem once again.  We supported and loved him dearly and he knew that. My last words as he went out the door Saturday morning were "Love you Andy, have a good day" and Mike told him how proud of him he was.  Fly high Andy, We will love you always and will see you again.

Surviving are his parents, Mike (Carol) Marshall; two sisters, Jennifer (Jay) Miller and Sarah (Mike) Ross and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 12:00pm -3:00pm on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil and Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

In lieu of flowers, please do a random act of kindness for someone and think of Andy.

The family ask that you educate yourself and others about addiction.  No one wants to be an addict; help stop the pain and stigma.

Our son, Andy was so much more than this disease and didn't deserve to lose his life this way.  Forever 44.
