Rick E. Walcott, 44, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday morning, January 7, 2019 as the result of an accident near Frazeysburg.

Born December 22, 1974 in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was a son of the late Roy Walcott and Beverly (Hindel) Walcott of Frazeysburg. He was a foreman with Layton, Inc. Rick was an avid camper and he and his family spent most of their summers at La-z Acers Camp Ground in Nashport.  He loved working on cars and was very particular with his work.  The greatest love in his life was his family and he was truly a "family man".

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Jessica L. (Birkhimer) Walcott whom he married December 10, 2011; a son, Ryder Walcott of Frazeysburg; three daughters, Lexis Walcott, Ariane Birkhimer and Emarie Walcott, all of Frazeysburg; one grandchild, Lovonna Schultz, with one grandchild on the way in July; two brothers, Roy (Julie) Walcott, II and Ryan (Kristin) Walcott both of Zanesville; three sisters, Rosalyn (Tony) Newlun of Newark, Roberta (Danny) Bonar of Warsaw and Roxanne (Mike) Wilson of Frazeysburg. Also surviving is his grandmother, Jane Hindel of Dresden; his father in-law and mother in-law, Jackie and Deborah Birkhimer of Coshocton; his "grandma in-law", Vicki Birkhimer of Dresden; a very special friend, William "Bill" Hunter of Dresden and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold "Tubby" Hindel and his "grandpa in-law", Jack Birkhimer.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Frazeysburg chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, January 11, 2019 at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
