Rick L. Dickson, 55, of Dresden, died at 8:26AM Tuesday July 13, 2004 at The Ohio State University Medical Center from injuries sustained in an accident at the AEP Generating Station at Conesville. Mr. Dickson was born March 21, 1949 in Zanesville, a son of the late Dorothy Dickson Glass. A 1967 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam Era. For many years he was active in the Dresden Youth League and coached baseball and basketball. He is survived by his wife, Diane K. (Nusbaum) Dickson, whom he married January 1, 1969; sons, Chad (Diana) Dickson of Nashport, Ryan Dickson and fianc?, Cassandra Secreage of Bloomington, IN; granddaughter, Maya Dickson and his mother in law, Nancy Nusbaum of Dresden. His brothers and sisters, John Dickson, deceased, Katie James of Benton Harbor, MI, Bob Dickson of Zanesville, Allen Dickson of Scottsville, MI, Carol Burton, deceased, Jerry Dickson, deceased, Dorothy Glaub, deceased, Wayne Dickson, Gerrardstown, WV, Warren Dickson, deceased, Ruth Wagner of Dresden, Rhonda Shockley of Springerville, AZ, David Glass of Covington, GA and many nieces and nephews. In addition to brothers and sisters, he was preceded in death by his father in law Dan Nusbaum. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-9PM Friday July 16, 2004 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday at the Dresden U. Methodist Church with Pastor Ricci Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
