Obituary

NEWARK - There will be no services observed for Richard ?Dean? Vandayburg, 80, of Newark, at his request. Mr. Vandayburg died Thursday at his residence after a long battle with lung cancer. Mr. Vandayburg was born February 24, 1924 in Etna, Ohio. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S.Army Air Corps. He worked as a printer most of his life. Mr. Vandayburg is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores J. Vandayburg, whom he married November 11, 1944; one daughter, Pam Cocanour of Newark; two grandchildren, Britt Cocanour of Washington, D.C., and Josh Cocanour of Montana; and one niece, Mrs. Erm Kennedy of Newark. The Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
