Richard "Dick" Ryan age 77 of Heath, died Saturday June 16, 2012 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born June 5, 1935 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Clarence and Rosanne (Kiser) Ryan. Mr. Ryan was involved in the lumber business for over 60 years. He retired as the owner of the R-Way Lumber, Inc., Warsaw. He had served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol J. (Darr) Ryan; daughters, Terri (Bill) Dozier of Greenbrier, TN., Lori Thompson of Lakeland, FL.; sons, Rick (Donna) Ryan of Warsaw, Rich (Lisa) Ryan of Coshocton, Troy (Amy) Ryan of Dresden, Randy Ryan of Heath; sister, Colleen (Walter, Sr.) Kline of Tyndal; twelve grandchildren, Eric Ryan, Anne Bickle, Travis Dozier, Grant Dozier, Roman Ryan, Kalen Welch, Adam Ryan, Krystal Ryan, Shide Ryan, Aaden Ryan, Darin Ryan, Dustin Ryan and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Ryan and a sister, Joan Appis-Pickerton.
Calling hours will be observed 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
