Richard H. Lacy, 79, of Dresden, died at 7:25PM Friday April 30, 2010 at Coshocton Health & Rehab. Center.
Mr. Lacy was born July 27, 1930 in Dresden, a son of the late Percy and Ida (nee Hains) Lacy. A 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School, he worked at Armco Steel for 31 years. Mr. Lacy had been active in 4-H, serving 25 years as an advisor with the Comus 4-H Club and spent 20 years as a member of the Muskingum County Sheep Committee. He loved the outdoors, gardening, raising dogs and sharing his life with his grandchildren. Mr. Lacy was a member of the Jubilee Revival Center Church in Dresden.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Martha A. (nee Durben) Lacy, whom he married on February 7, 1953; a daughter, Debra Wilkins of Lancaster; a son Rick (Christy) Lacy of Dresden; four grandchildren, Misty Steiner, Dustin Wilkins, Morgan Lacy and Tyler Lacy; one great granddaughter, Madeline Steiner and two sisters, Mary Ellen Sproull of Dresden and Lucille Sroull of Yorktown, VA.
Friends may call 5-8PM Monday May 3, 2010 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at the Jubilee Revival Center with Pastors Mike & Melody Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
