Obituary

Richard J. Kullman, 65, of 5080 Prospect Church Road, Adamsville, died at 7:20PM Wednesday May 7, 2003 at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.Born October 3, 1937 in Dresden, he was the son of the late Julian and Myrtle Kullman. He was a 1955 graduate of Jefferson High School and a welder by trade. Mr. Kullman had worked at Muskingum Mines, Racine Hydraulics and the Pennsylvania Railroad. He attended the Adamsville U. Methodist Church and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.Surviving are his wife, Carol (Hittle) Kullman, whom he married May 29, 1957, a son, Tony (Roxie) Kullman of Columbus, three daughters, Kandy (Jody) Close of Dover, Kelly Barcus and Jim Claypool of Frazeysburg, Krissy Green and Greg Bennett of Adamsville; a brother, Tom Kullman of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Kristin Prince, of Zanesville, Kelsey Barcus, Quentin Green, Gage Green and Kyle Close.He was preceded in death by his brother Fred Kullman and sisters, Evelyn Schneider and Ruthe Ivan.Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9PM Friday May 9, 2003 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Adamsville, where services will be held on Saturday at 1PM with Mike Hittle, Mr. Kullman?s brother in law, officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
