Richard A. Hittle, 57, of Zanesville, died at 4:07PM Tuesday April 12, 2005 at his home after a six month battle with cancer. He was born May 30, 1947 in Zanesville to the late Roy and Mary (Bunting) Hittle and had worked at Smurfit-Stone Container as an equipment operator for 17 years. Surviving are two sons, Slade (Teresa) Harr and Justin Harr of Orient, two daughters Brandy (Jon) Griffin and Susan Beth Hittle of Zanesville, 11 grandchildren, Myria, Sierra, Slade Jr., Jonathan, Courtney, Ashly and Erica Harr, Dakota Hittle and Alexis, Courtney and Brittany Griffin; three brothers, Robert (Cathy) Hittle, Jeff (Linda) Hittle, Kenny Hittle, four sisters, Helen (Jim) Smith, Betty (Lowell) Myers, Tammy (Danny) Mitchell, Pam Elmore and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours and a caring cremation has taken place. Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Adamsville is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service for relatives and close friends will be held at 2PM Sunday April 17, 2005 at Mr. Hittle's farm.
