FRAZEYSBURG ? Funeral services for Richard E. ?Dick? Roffey, 73, of Marne, Ohio will be 1:00pm Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Minister Chuck Horsley officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery. Mr. Roffey died Friday, September 12, 2008 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Born June 13, 1935 in Hanover Township of Licking County, he was the son of the late Clyde A. and Mary Ellen (Brown) Roffey and was a 1953 graduate of Hanover-Toboso High School. Mr. Roffey was an Army veteran and retired in 1996 from Owens-Corning Fiberglas where he was a machinist. He was a former member of the machinist union and was an avid golfer. Surviving is his wife, Barbara A. (Swope) Roffey whom he married July 15, 1959; two daughters, Bobbie Grigsby of Newark and Beverly Roffey-Davis of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one brother, Charles (Mary) Roffey of Shalotte, North Carolina; two sisters, Dyan Stickle and Kathy (Rick) Miller, both of Newark; four grandchildren, Amy Evans (Amber Oker) of Columbus, Michael Hughes of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Sgt. Ryan Roffey-Hughes, USMC of Camp LeJune, North Carolina and PFC Brian (Drew) Grigsby of Ft. Leonard, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Kasyn and Koltyn Scarantine and Gavin Grisby; his special friends, Terry and Sue Nethers, Dale and Elaine Smith, the Dick Houston family and Sonya Scarantine; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
