Rex Allen Fracker, 75, of Nashport, Ohio died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his home.
Born July 25, 1951, in Zanesville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Edma Mae (Pletcher) Fracker, Sr. and a graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Rex worked as a machinist for the Lear Corporation and enjoyed all things sports. He especially liked The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling with family and friends. What Rex truly loved was his family and he was always there to cheer on his grandchildren in their various sports activities.
Surviving is his daughter, Tisha Starkey of Nashport; son, Craig Fracker of Zanesville; eleven grandchildren, Kyle (Taylor) Smith, Madison (Nathan) Vallee, Laikyn (Aubree) Sherman, Angeleena (Tyler) Messerschmidt, Gabryella Starkey, Axell Starkey, Taylor (Andrew) Basham, Baylea Fraker, Kyleigh Fracker, and Courtney Kerwood; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Strohacker and Shirley Carson; two brothers, Clarence (Sharon) Fracker, Jr. and David (Jan) Fracker; sister in-law, Helen Fracker and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to Rex’s parents, he was preceded in death by his long time companion, Brenda Warner who passed away in 2016; daughter, Tammara “Tammy” Smith; brother, William Fracker; two brothers in-law, Paul Strohacker and Urcel Carson.
Friends and family may visit 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil |Wagner | Marshall Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the funeral home with Pastor Sidney Davis officiating.
Rex will be laid to rest with Brenda in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
