FRAZEYSBURG ? Raymond H. Stalnaker, Jr., 70, of Nashport, Ohio died at 5:00pm Monday, May 24, 2004 at his home. Born July 23, 1933 in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Raymond H. Stalnaker, Sr. and Hazel Stalnaker Jackson. Mr. Stalnaker retired with 20 years service in the U. S. Navy and later retired from United Technologies of Zanesville. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Surviving are two great nieces, which he and his wife raised, Jessie Jones of Nashport and Carrie (Jason) Reed of Hopewell, Ohio; his step-mother, Mildred Stalnaker; one brother, Stanley (Marilyn) Stalnaker; one sister, Jane (Oran) Cowan, all of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy B. (Brown) Stalnaker, whom he married July 14, 1957, and who died May 11, 1997. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Friday, May 28, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Irville Cemetery.
