Obituary

DRESDEN - Raymond C. ?Bill? Lapp, 85 of Dresden died Friday evening at Genesis Morrison House, Zanesville. Mr. Lapp was born in Dresden on November 1, 1919 to the late Clarence and Vera (Lane) Lapp. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He retired in 1984 from Tri-Valley School District, where he had worked as a bus mechanic. He was a member of the American Legion Post 399 and VFW Post 11072 in Dresden, and the Old Steam and Gas Club. He was also a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 57 years M. Jean (Lane) Lapp whom he married June 7, 1947; one son, David (Annette) Lapp of Dresden; two daughters, Martha (Jim) Conrad of West Lafayette, and Nancy (Berlin) Cameron of Dresden; nine grandchildren, Mike Conrad, Scott Conrad, Lori Buchanan, Corry Cameron, Adam Cameron, Wes Cameron, Nathan Lapp, Cole Lapp, and Lauren Lapp; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Paul (Martha) Lapp of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Lapp; and a sister Pauline Lapp. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday November 22, 2004 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home , 714 Main Street, Dresden. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday November 23, 2004 at the funeral home with Pastor Ricci Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Dresden Cemetery where Military Funeral Honors will be observed. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Genesis, 713 Forest Ave.,Zanesville
