Raymond C. "Pete" Hindel, 59, of Cooperdale, Ohio died Friday evening, July 21, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident near Dresden, Ohio.
Born January 17, 1958 in Coshocton, Ohio he was a son of the late William R. Hindel and Nina June Shepherd of Zanesville, Ohio. Pete proudly served our country in the U. S. Army for four years and later in the Ohio National Guard. He worked for five years at Echoing Hills Village and later he worked for 33 years at Pretty Products in Coshocton. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his mother is one son, Stephen Hindel of Orrville, Ohio; a grandson, Lukus Hindel; five brothers, Rick (Jill) Guenther, Rick (April) Hindel, Alvin (Marlene) Hindel, Dale (Angie) Hindel and Duane (Holly) Hindel; four sisters, Becky (Bill) Newell, Barb (Art) Gilcrist, Katherine Lee and Dorothy Hindel. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his step-mother, Harriett Hindel.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by wife, Helen J. Hindel, who died September 2, 2007; his step-father, Harry Guenther and his grandparents.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial services will be at 1:00pm Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Northgate Open Bible Church, 10516 Frazeysburg Road, Dresden, Ohio with Pastors Mike and Melody Foster officiating. Military honors will be conducted following the memorial service.
