Obituary

Randy Lee Prouty, 41, 110 Chestnut Street, Dresden, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly Tuesday November 30, 2004 in the emergency room of Genesis Bethesda Hospital. He will be deeply missed by many loved ones. Born July 20, 1963 in Muskingum County, he was a Dresden resident all his life. He was a 1981 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and past employee of Tri-Valley Schools, graduated magna cum laude from Mt. Vernon Nazarene College with a bachelor?s degree in business and was employed by AK Steel in Zanesville. He operated the Colonial Gardens Bed & Breakfast in Dresden, was a partner in the Big Top Dari Stop in Avondale and was founder and business partner of Prouty Enterprises. He was a member of Jubilee Revival Center in Dresden and enjoyed spending time with his friends and beloved family. Among his surviving loved ones are his wife, Kimberly Maxwell Prouty, whom he married September 5, 1987; four children, one son, Kyle Prouty, three daughters, LeAnne, Lindsey and Tara Prouty; his beloved parents, Victor and Linda Prouty, grandmother, Mildred Dickerson Summers all of the home; two brothers, Rick (Valarie) Prouty of Dresden, Terry (Heather) Prouty of Nashport; grandmother, Helen Prouty of Dresden; three nephews, Shawn Dingey of Dresden, Tristan and Hayden Prouty of Nashport, one niece, Faith Prouty of Dresden; several uncles, David (Dorothy) Summers of Dresden, Vernon (Dorothy) Prouty of Nashport, Max (Joyce) Prouty of Baltimore, Loren (Loretta) Prouty of Nashport, Marion Junior (Phyllis) Prouty of Dresden, Larry (Ellen) Prouty of Dresden, two aunts, Shirley (Francis) Holzschuher of Dresden, Bonnie Whyde of Dresden; his father and mother in law, William and Helen Maxwell of Zanesville; his grandmother in law, Elizabeth Teters of Caldwell; two brothers in law Michael Maxwell of Hanover and Brian Maxwell of Zanesville. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard F. Summers and a sister in law, Charlene Maxwell. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9PM Thursday December 2, 2004 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Jubilee Revival Center, St Rt. 60 south of Dresden on Friday at 1PM with Pastors Mike and Melody Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Dresden Cemetery.
