Ralph J. Vansickle, 72, of Adamsville died unexpectedly Friday morning November 11, 2005 at his home. Mr. Vansickle was born March 23, 1933 in Coshocton County, a son of the late John W. and Sylvia (Morton) Vansickle. He had worked at St. Regis Paper Mill in Coshocton and had attended the Dresden U. Methodist Church. Mr. Vansickle was a life long farmer and owner of the Dresden IGA. Surviving are his wife, Frances J. (Weekly) Vansickle, whom he married January 31, 1952; children, Nancy Sowers of Zanesville, Mary (Ken) Martin of Dresden, Karen (Randy) Embrey of Crooksville, John (Julia) Vansickle of Adamsville, Bruce (Connie) Vansickle of Adamsville and Randy (Becky) Vansickle of Dresden; brothers, Ross Vansickle of Zanesville, Rollen (Norma) Vansickle of Nashport, Paul (Kate) Vansickle of Texas; sister, Ada (August) Roberts of Texas; sister-in-law, Arlene Vansickle of Nashport; grandchildren, Jody Sowers, Jessica Sowers, Jason Embrey, Jenny (Mike) Embrey Taylor, Brian (Susan) Martin, Lori Martin, Adam Martin, Jeremy Martin, Justin (Alyson) Vansickle, Jim Vansickle, Kimberly Vansickle, Steve Vansickle, Stacey Vansickle and Valerie Vansickle; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Vansickle. Two brothers, Ray and Roy Vansickle and three sisters, Nellie McDonald, Helen Hunter and Hazel Roahrig, preceded him in death. Friends may call 3-6 PM Sunday November 13, 2005 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating.
