Ralph E. Noland, 73, of Trinway died Friday morning October 5, 2007 at his home. Mr. Noland was born February 10, 1934 in Dresden, one of 15 children born of the late P.G. and Ella M. Noland. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and had worked at Mosaic Tile, Central Ohio Coal on the Big Muskie and retired from Allied Machine Works. He supported and was a member of the NRA and the First Baptist Church in Dresden. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Orpha I. (Melrose) Noland, whom he married June 19, 1955; children, Susie (Robert) Ryan and Larry (Diane) Noland both of Newark; grandchildren, Casey (Melissa) Hamilton, Seth (Stephanie) Noland, Ian Noland, Cody Ryan, Drew Ryan, Cory Ryan and Lela Siafa; great grandchildren, Ethan Noland, Chloe Hamilton, Cade Hamilton; brothers and sisters, Maxine Lockhart of Mr. Vernon, Elsie Garrett of Dresden, Harley (Barb) Noland of Frazeysburg, Donald (Charlene) Noland of Hopewell, Roy (Sandy) Noland, Ronald (Martha) Noland, John (Flo) Noland, Vernon (Saundra) Noland all of Dresden, Judy Wagner of Zanesville, Michael Noland of Conesville, Emma Paulson of Grove City, Donna Foley of Newark and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky and Roger Noland. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9PM Sunday Oct. 7, 2007 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday at the First Baptist Church in Dresden with Pastor Andrew Dennis and grandson,Pastor Casey Hamilton officiating.
