NEWARK: A funeral service for Ralph E. Mills, 88 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Sherman Romine officiating. Interment will be at Newark Memorial Gardens. Ralph passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at his home. He was born September 15, 1920 in McConnelsville. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Ralph worked as a master electrician for Larson?s Manufacturing. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a loyal patron of Buc-Eye-Ron?s and Colonial Tavern. Ralph enjoyed tinkering, radio and electronic repair and he enjoyed karaoke. Survivors include his step children, Monte (Janet) Nagy of Newark, and L. Kae (Lawrence) Stock of Thornville; step grandchildren, Larry (Kelly) Stock of Clayton, Joseph Stock of Utica, Bridgett (Craig) Jackson of Newark; Monte Nagy, Jr. of Chester, Vir., Michael Andrew (Cheryl) Nagy of Dayton, and Matthew Nagy of Lancaster; eight step great-grandchildren; and a brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step great-granchild and sister. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
