Ralph E. "Bud" Newell Jr., 48, of Nashport, died Wednesday evening, October 1, 2025, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room.

Born August 2, 1977, in Zanesville, a son of Brenda (Franz) Morlan and the late Ralph "Woody" Newell Sr. Bud was a 1996 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a driver at Crenos Pizza in Dresden and Nashport. When he wasn't working, you could find him watching NASCAR, at a dirt track race or at his favorite fishing hole. Bud loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies.

Surviving is his loving wife of 23 years, Misty (Binkley) Newell, who he married on June 19, 2002; son, Seth Newell; daughter, Cherokee Newell; four grandchildren, Shyloh, Keyli, Novali, and Jaxx; four sisters, Robyn Young, Vanessa Grebeck, Michelle Lyons, and Lisa Newell; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; many fishing buddies and his Crenos family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Padgett; a niece, Katrina Cox; and father and mother-in-law, James and Mary Binkley.

Family and friends may visit 2-5pm, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Memorial services will be held immediately following visitation at 5:00pm, Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
