Ralph E. Cline, 87, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Tuesday morning, March 22, 2016 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born January 6, 1929 in Hanover, Ohio he was a son of the late Howard R. and Hazel (Norris) Cline. Ralph was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was extremely proud to have served his country. After being discharged from the Army he joined the National Guard and was a small arms repairman, retiring after 34 years of service. During his time with the Army and National Guard he received many awards, including being a sharp shooter. He was a 45 year member of Perryton Church of Christ and also served the church as a Deacon. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling and he loved animals, especially, dogs, but his greatest enjoyment and greatest love was his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Alma Jean (Wilson) Cline whom he married September 27, 1953; a son, Robert Cline of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Adair of Zanesville and Jodi (Jim) Sullivan of Newark, Ohio; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Woolard of Newark and twin nephews. Also surviving is his dog, "Ozzie" and his cat "Morris".
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Thursday, March 24, 206 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Funeral Home with Minister Craig Mulpas and Minister Stanley Radcliff officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
