Ruth Joan Holdsworth, 83, of Conesville, Ohio went to be with her Lord on Monday afternoon, January 23, 2017 at Coshocton Memorial Hospital in Coshocton. She has also joined with her loving husband, Dean, again.

Born August 2, 1933 in Dresden, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lettie (Moran) Tumblin and was a 1951 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mrs. Holdsworth was a faithful member of the Dresden First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Homemaker's Club and she enjoyed camping.

Surviving are two sons, Paul (Heather) Holdsworth of Huntsville, Alabama and Andrew (Peggy) Holdsworth of Coshocton; one daughter, Barbara (Larry) Albertson of Conesville; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also surviving is one brother, Bob Tumblin of Dresden; one sister, June Byers of Celina, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Wilfred Dean Holdsworth whom she married August 30, 1958 and who died March 26, 2008; a son, Donald Holdsworth; a daughter, Nancy Northrup; three brothers, Herman, Harold and Eugene Tumblin and two sisters, Virginia Zikes and Alvera Wheeler.

Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Dresden First Baptist Church, 801 Chestnut Street, with the Rev. Joseph Offenberger officiating. Burial will be in Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
