FRAZEYSBURG ? Phyllis Kathryn Williamson, 86, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Frazeysburg, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Born March 27, 1923 in Byesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Dyer) Robertson and was a 1941 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mrs. Williamson proudly served as a nurse in the US Army during World War II. She was a member of Sun Lakes United Methodist Church in Sun Lakes, AZ. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, sister grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was caring for her family. Surviving is her loving husband of 63 years, Charles Williamson, whom she married September 15, 1946; a son Mark Alan Williamson; two daughters, Cynthia Williamson Adams and Amy Williamson Dryer; a sister Idamae Vickers, of Frazeysburg; her grandchildren, Jon Adams and Brooke Adams Vail, Jefferson and Jackson Dryer and Andrew Williamson; a great grandson, Jack Adams; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Craig Williamson. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00am Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Rev. Gale Williamson officiating.
