A memorial service for Penny R. (Kelly) Mencsik, 58 of Hanover will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 16, 2014 at the Events Center in Hanover with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. A time of fellowship celebrating her life with family and friends will follow the service until 5 p.m.

Penny died Wednesday March 12, 2104 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born July 16, 1955 in Austin, Texas.

She and her husband Michael had operated the Dawg House Lounge in Troy, OH. She was a graduate of Licking Valley High School and earned an associate degree in electronics from ITT Tech in Troy. She enjoyed crafts and sewing. She also was a football fan and liked watching action movies.

She is survived by her mother, Esther Weeks of Hanover; sisters, Rose (Bart) Wynn of Spring Hill, TN, Marla (Kenneth) Howes of Tucson, AZ, Robin (Mark) Butler of Dunn, NC; brothers, Bob Kelly of Martinsburg, Andrew (Emily) Weeks of Frazeysburg; seven nieces & nephews; seven great nieces & nephews; several cousins; four step-children; and her pet Kellie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael C. Mencsik, January 20, 2013; step-father, John S. Weeks; Grandma and Grandpa Flowers.

The family has entrusted the Frazeysburg Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME with the services.
