Pauline V. Wilson-Melvin, 92 of Dresden died Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Brookdale Assisted Living. She was born July 30, 1924 in Canton, OH to the late Roscoe R. and Bernice (Dyer) Koontz.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Marsha) Wilson of Dresden, Rodger (Pam) Wilson, Robert (Marie) Wilson all of Adamsville; grandchildren, Kem (Sheila) Wilson of Milford Center, OH, Travis (Sarah) Wilson of Dallas, TX, Todd (Kris) Wilson of Nashport, Chris (Mary) Wilson of Adamsville, Kelly Wilson, Rhonda Wilson, Brian Wilson all of Zanesville; sister, Betty (Don) Radcliff of Adamsville; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Wilson in 1994 and second husband, John Melvin in 2005.
Pauline graduated from New Lexington High School and retired as a LPN from Good Samaritan Medical Center in 1989. She was a life time member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church. She served in many capacities including Sunday school teacher, Bible Study and Mary Martha Circle. She enjoyed line dancing at the senior center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Dresden Chapel VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 714 Main Street with Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery.
Calling hours will be observed Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
