Pauline Ruth Cox Helt of Adams Mills, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Helen Purcell Home with her children by her side
Pauline was born September 26, 1927 in Derwent, Ohio to the late George and Rosa Buckey. Her early years were spent in Cambridge, Ohio. Her family moved to Dresden, Ohio where Pauline attended and graduated in 1945 from Dresden Jefferson High School. After graduation she worked in Zanesville, Ohio at the Army depot and later worked for the Columbia Gas Company.
Pauline married her high school sweetheart, area farmer Wayne Cox and she was a wonderful Mother and homemaker for her family. She loved time spent on the farm with her children, whom she referred to as her "jewels". So we always figured her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her little "gems"! Pauline was a member of the Adams Mills Presbyterian Church, The Presbyterian Church of Coshocton, Morning Circle Prayer Group and a Red Cross Volunteer at Bethesda Hospital. She was also a member of the Rosewood Garden Club, Eastern Star and the Shakespeare Club. Her favorite club and group of friends was the Bridge Club Gals, which met monthly for over 50 years!
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Cox and her beloved son, David Cox and a sister, Pat Haver.
She is survived by her children, James (Mary) Cox of Owatonna, MN, Susan (David) Earich of Nashport and Timothy (Jody) Cox of Coshocton; grandchildren, Kevin Cox of Grosse Pointe, MI, David (Jannelle) Earich of Wilmington, OH, Andy (Lindsay Cox of Owatonna, MN, Grant (Abbey) Earich of Washington, DC, Andrew (Lindsey) Cox of Charleston, SC, Austin Cox of Duluth, MN, Laura (A. J.) Wilson of Gaylord, KS and Ashley Cox of Honolulu, HI; great grandchildren Anna, Ava, Knox, Jase, Case, Phaelin, Remi and Samuel. Also surviving is her kind hearted brother, Jack Buckey of Newcomerstown, OH.
Pauline is also survived by her husband Charles Helt of the home. Charles and Pauline had 31 years of traveling and residing in Adams Mills.
Pauline's children thank God for the gift of a Mother who set an example of love, encouragement and strength every day.
A heartfelt thank you is given to the loving and caring staff of Helen Purcell Home.
