Paul H. Schumacher, 84, of Coshocton, formerly of Dresden, died at 2:10AM Monday April 12, 2010 at Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.

Born September 15, 1925 in Dresden, he was the son of the late Ralph and Esther (Spring) Schumacher. Mr. Schumacher had worked at the Adams Mills Coal Co., had been a lineman for Hoosier Engineering and retired from Dresden Concrete. He was a member of Prospect U. Methodist Church and a former volunteer fireman with the Dresden Fire Department and a former member of the Eagles Lodge in Zanesville.

Surviving are two daughters, Aloma M. (Dale) Graves of Dresden, Sherry R. Lane of Waretown, New Jersey; sisters, Yvonne (Dick) Wolfe of Dresden, Clara Jane (Reg) Tignor of Coshocton, Marion (Howard) Cutrer of Eaton, OH; a brother, George Schumacher of California; three grandchildren, Paula Graves, Laura (Larry) Atkins, Amber (Tim) Abbuhl; three great-grandchildren, Nathan Atkins, Clare and Madeline Abbuhl, a great-great granddaughter, Sidney Atkins and a sister in law, Donna Schumacher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth B. (Smith) Schumacher on August 1, 2003 and a brother Willard Schumacher.

Friends may call 10-11AM Wednesday April 14, 2010 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:15AM in the Dresden Cemetery with Pastors Mike and Melody Foster officiating.
