A funeral service for Paul E. Primmer, 75 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday February 3, 2007 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Gearhart officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens where military honors will be provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Mr. Primmer died Wednesday January 31, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born October 15, 1931 in Columbus to the late Paul E. Primmer, Sr. and Grace (Butcher) Primmer. Mr. Primmer served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a former member of Cox United Methodist Church and United Commercial Travelers. Survivors include is wife of 46 years Carolyn (Whited) Primmer of Newark; five children, Sherri (Ron) Wilson of Columbus, Lonny Burton of Hebron, Joseph (Teresa) Burton of Columbus, Paul E. (Marshana) Primmer, III., and Adriene (Pat) Cullison of Huber Heights; a brother, Don (Sally) Primmer, and a sister, Alice (William) Gookin; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Hall; and a grandson, Jeremy Burton.
