Paul A. "Moe" Dawson, 84, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of Dresden, died
Wednesday evening, April 29, 2015 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
Born December 10, 1930 in Zanesville he was a son of the late Melvin and Louise (Smythe) Dawson and was a 1948 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mr. Dawson retired in 1989 as an assistant manager from Halliburton after 31 years of service. Later he worked for 17 years with Lowe's of Zanesville in the plumbing department, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Market Street Baptist Church and he enjoyed bowling, golfing and hunting.
Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Frances (Buckalew) Dawson whom he married February 19, 1949; two sons, Michael "Moe" Dawson of Zanesville and William "Bill" Dawson of Trinway, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Ann Isenbarg of Holly, Michigan and Susan M. (Mickey) Kennedy of Zanesville; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Dawson.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
